EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 Description
Cisco EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 3G WWAN EHWIC is the first enterprise-class 3G WWAN solution. Suitable for both backup and primary applications, these cards support the latest 3G standards (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access [HSPA+] and Evolve-Data Optimized [EV-DO] Rev A) and is backward-compatible with High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA), Cisco EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 3G WWAN EHWIC is tightly integrated with the services provided on the award-winning Cisco integrated services routers Gen 2 (ISR G2), which deliver secure data, voice, video, and mobility services. The Cisco EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 3G WWAN EHWICs is supported on the modular Cisco 1900, 2900 and 3900 Series Integrated Services Routers G2.
The EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 card support the following services:

- Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE)
- Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS)
- High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)

–Downlink speeds up to 21.1 Mbps

The EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 card support multiple services on multiple bands for use in different parts of the world:
- 850/900/1800/1900 MHz for GPRS and EDGE services
- 800/850/900/1900/2100 MHz for UMTS and HSPA services
- Standalone GPS
- Short Message Service (SMS)
The EHWIC-3G-HSPA+7 card support the diversity mode (dual antenna mode) in the antennas. Types of antennas include swivel-mounted dipole with extended base and ceiling-mounted antennas.
The diversity mode requires two antennas located together and spaced a minimum of 7.5 inches (19 cm) for better RF reception.
