The Cisco Compatible QSFP-100G-LR4-S is a high-performance 100GBASE-LR4 QSFP28 optical transceiver designed for long-range 100 Gigabit Ethernet transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF). Operating through four CWDM wavelengths around 1310nm, this module supports reliable 100Gbps connectivity up to 10 kilometers using standard duplex LC fiber infrastructure.
Built according to IEEE 802.3ba, QSFP28 MSA, and SFF-8636 standards, the transceiver integrates advanced LAN-WDM optical technology, enabling efficient long-distance data transmission with low power consumption and stable optical performance. The module converts 4 independent 25Gbps electrical channels into 4 CWDM optical lanes and multiplexes them into a single duplex LC interface for high-density 100G networking applications.
Designed for seamless compatibility with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, UCS, and enterprise switching platforms, the QSFP-100G-LR4-S provides plug-and-play interoperability without unsupported transceiver warnings.
